ROXY Jacenko has spoken of her regret over her affair with millionaire property developer Nabil Gazal, 12 months after photos of the pair kissing emerged online.
The Sydney PR queen told The Morning Show on Wednesday that she was “not proud” of her relationship with Mr Gazal and admitted her life had been “a trainwreck”.
“Resilience is a very hard to learn, and the last few years of my life, it is like a movie — it was a trainwreck,” Jacenko told hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur.
Jacenko, 38, had an affair with ex-boyfriend Nabil Gazal last year while her husband Oliver Curtis was serving a prison sentence for conspiracy to commit insider trading and she battled breast cancer.
“I’m not proud of some of the things I did. I was in a situation, where it was tough,” Jacenko said.
“I was running three businesses, my husband was in jail, I had cancer, [I was raising] two kids. It was tough.
“But I still look at my life every day and go, ‘Wow, what amazing opportunities I’ve got.”’
Last year Jacenko revealed she had spoken to a divorce lawyer when she resumed her relationship with Mr Gazal.
“It was a very challenging five years of marriage,” she told news.com.au of her relationship with Curtis.
“We were at each other’s throats, so when he went for 12 months, I set up a life for myself and the children and that was it. I thought that would be the end of it [marriage].
“He [Ollie] knew that as well. He didn’t want his marriage to end, but he was aware of the circumstances and that it hadn’t been easy.”
But after Curtis was released from prion the couple reunited, with the former investment banker proposing to Jacenko for the second time following a family holiday in July.
