Locklear looked youthful in the ensemble which included a retro 60s-70s shirt that she consciously had falling slightly off her left shoulder.

The skirt was a prefect match with the top and helped to showcase her petite  curves.

She rounded out the look with open-toe heels, a beige clutch purse, and her blonde tresses styled long past her shoulders with a part in the middle.

The Los Angeles native also shared the spotlight of the red carpet with her co-star Jason MacDonald, who was decked out in a blue suit for the world premiere.

The film is Meghan McCain’s first project since she announced her departure as co-host of ABC’s Emmy-winning daytime talk show The View at the end of the month.

Based on an emotional true story, the film follows the life of Kristine Carlson, co-author of the best-selling book series Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff with her husband, Dr. Richard Carlson, who finds her world crashing down around her after Richard unexpectedly passes away.

Overcome with grief, Kristine goes on to find her voice and the strength to navigate and rebuild her family in the midst of such profound loss.

‘There was so much synchronicity,’ Locklear confessed to People of the new project, adding, ‘[Kristine’s] husband, Richard — his first love was a woman named Janie Sinclair. She was my roommate in college [at UCLA]. I’m like, “This is crazy.”‘

Locklear continued, ‘The first time I met Kristine, we spent the night at her home. And then she came for my 60th birthday and stayed with me. She’s now one of my best friends.’

Along with Locklear, and MacDonald (Vampire Diaries), who plays Richard Carlson, the cast also includes the likes of Natasha Bure (Fuller House) as daughter Jazzy and Emily Rose (Haven) as Richard’s booker, Brianna.

The biopic film is set to premiere on Lifetime Saturday, October 16.
