Yearwood, now 58, said, "I'm getting older, and I can feel it." She said she had wrinkles and other things that came with age, but she was grateful that she had good skin. She gushed:
"I'm happier in my own skin than I ever was when I was younger. It feels good to get to this place."
When talking about how she conducts herself in front of her stepdaughters, Yearwood said she needed to lead by example because she had married their father when the girls were young. For this reason, she takes good care of herself and celebrates herself.
How Did Yearwood's Stepdaughters Change Her Life?
Yearwood is the stepmother of Taylor, August, and Allie, who she says have taught her grace. She admitted her stepdaughters allowed her to be a third parent and learn how to do that her way. She shared that her stepdaughters were the gifts she didn't know she needed.

Although Yearwood didn't know how much joy being a third parent would bring her until she became one, she had to find a way to bond with the girls when she first married their father.
The country singer found she could bond with the girls best at mealtimes. When the girls started to drive, Yearwood and her husband, Garth Brooks, quickly realized how difficult it was to have them all in the same room, which is when they introduced "veggie night."
"Veggie night" was simultaneously the one night a week when the whole family was together and a way to get their children to eat more vegetables, according to Yearwood. She shared:
"They loved it, and some of the best conversations happened around that table."
Yearwood always endeavored to ensure her stepdaughters felt loved and accepted by her. She even exchanged rings with her stepdaughters during her wedding ceremony to their father to show her love and appreciation for them.
How Did Yearwood Amaze Fans With Her Makeup-Free Photo at 58?
In the spirit of leading by example for her stepdaughters, Yearwood recently posted a makeup-free photo embracing her age and natural beauty. Yearwood sat in a car in a grey hoodie with a pair of seeing glasses on.
The photo showed Yearwood smiling sans makeup and proudly sporting an "I Voted" sticker on her shoulder. Her hoodie was spattered with raindrops, and the singer said she hadn't let the wet weather get in the way of her voting.
While some fans were impressed that Yearwood had braved the weather to go and make her voice heard, others were impressed with her appearance in the photos. One said Yearwood looked 25 without her makeup and that they loved her glasses.
