Robin Williams' Son Zak Moves Fans to Tears with Heartbreaking Tribute on Late Dad's 70th B-Day

The late Robin Williams' son, Zak, paid a heart-melting tribute to the legendary comedian on what would have been his 70th birthday. With Zak's touching social media share, fans could not control their reactions.

Zachary Pym Williams, popularly known as Zak, commemorated his father, legendary actor Robin William's legacy with a heartfelt Instagram update more than six years after his passing.

On what would have been the iconic comedian's 70th birthday, Zak shared a throwback photo of the star and a note that got fans reacting to the painful passing of Robin.

IN ROBIN'S MEMORY

Zak shared a black and white photo that showed the legend standing in a mirror room with a light smile on his face. Zak poured out his emotions in the accompanying caption that read:

"Dad, on what would be your 70th birthday, I would want you to know that your incredible spirit lives within us……."

Zak continued, writing that the Williams family would spend his posthumous birthday to celebrate him and his family. The 38-year-old concluded, declaring that they continue to miss and love Robin.

Following the actor's death, Zak revealed that his father had a tough time with the misdiagnosis.

Since sharing the tribute, Zak's post has gotten thousands of likes and comments from fans. One user flooded the comment section with sad face emojis while noting that he was rewatching Robin's 1996 movie, "Jack."

Acknowledging the late comedian for his fantastic character, another fan noted that Robin was an "incredible person," and he will never be forgotten as his legacy will continue to live in the hearts of everyone.

INSIDE TRAGIC ROBIN'S DEATH

On August 11, 2014, the world lost one of its legendary stars when the "Good Will Hunting" star took his life. The late actor was found in his home at Tiburon, California. He was 63 years old.

According to the Marin County authorities reports, after officials received a 911 call that revealed a male adult was found unconscious. The sheriff's office was dispatched to the scene, but Robin was pronounced by 12:02 pm.

Before Robin's death, he had been wrongly diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. However, months after his passing, an autopsy result revealed that the actor had Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).

Investigations proceeded immediately after his death. However, due to the circumstances and situation the "Mrs. Doubtfire" alum was found, the Coroner Division suspected his death might have been due to asphyxia.

Following the actor's death, Zak revealed that his father had a tough time with the misdiagnosis, and the medications he took were hard on the mind and body. Zak admitted that he did not find his death easy.

HIS BATTLE WITH LEWY BODY DEMENTIA

Many people believed that Robin took his life due to depression. However, during the first interview his wife Susan Schneider held after his demise, she explained that Diffuse Lewy Body Dementia had caused his death.

Per reports, LBD is one of the most common types of dementia one of the most frequently misdiagnosed neurodegenerative dementia. It's rare in people under 65, but It tends to develop slowly and get gradually worse after time.

The disease started affecting Robin just a year before his death. During his battle, he suffered a great level of anxiety, delusion, and impaired movements. His doctors did their best to get him better, but they could not get what was wrong.

He had symptoms similar to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. In the interview, Schneider thanked all the medical team who helped during his battle. The widow stated that the disease was faster and bigger than they could handle.

ROBIN'S KIDS AND FAMILY

Robin welcomed his first child Zak, with Valerie Velardi in 1983. The couple split after two years of being together in 1988. After their separation, Robin became involved with Marsha Garces Williams.

With his second spouse, he welcomed his daughter, Zelda, and his third child Cody. They, however, called it quits in 2010, and he got married again to Susan Schneider in 2011, who stayed with him until his last breath.

Robin was a doting father to his three kids, and he made remarkable impacts on them. His oldest child, Zak, proved his great love for the icon when he named his first child McLaurin Clement Williams after Robin.

Zak and Zelda followed in their father's acting footsteps with numerous credits to her name. On the other hand, Cody settled for a career behind the camera as a producer and video creator.
